Welcome to my website for the book series Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. I made this website for a Language Arts project I have to do. The project is making a website about a novel or author of my choice and I chose the Percy Jackson series.
The main purpose of this website is looking at the myths, monsters, gods and goddesses that are mentioned in the books.
I chose this picture because it represents Thalia's Tree. Thalia's Tree is the boundary line on Half-Blood Hill that keeps humans and monsters out of Camp Half-Blood. It also is a sort of reincarnation of Thalia, daughter of Zeus. She was dieing so her father turned her into the tree.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a series that has a mix of modern day and Greek myths. In The Lightning Thief, Percy Jackson, the protagonist, isn't the most popular kid in school, in fact he only has one friend, Grover Underwood is a...boy who is disabled. Percy was followed by trouble where ever he went, but he never knew why until he goes to Camp Half-Blood. He learns that he is a Demi-God. Just when he is beginning to settle into life at Camp Half-Blood Percy, along with two friends are whisked away on a dangerous quest, that will take them from Aunty Em's Garden Gnome Emporium to Hade's domain. There are five books in the series, the last one just came out. The books have a great mix of action, humor, and everyday situations everyone can relate to.
